The textile industry has been a symbol of India's cultural heritage, which has worked to connect the people and played an important role in their economic interests. This sector is mainly divided into several disciplines at the unorganised level; it has made its identity as a cottage industry in every state of India. In the present paper, the textile industry has been focused on inclusive development and social obligations. The main purpose of this paper was to see how the textile sector is contributing to inclusive development. In order to reach the conclusions, both primary and secondary data have been analysed in qualitative analysis. Finding of this research reveals that the textile is contributing towards employment generation and inclusiveness, but in terms of social responsibility it is not playing a positive role because of its unorganised structure.
